Creative Art And Architecture / MAG LAB Workshop

Arab International University – Faculty of Architecture, Design and fabrication Workshop - Damascus – Syria The aim of the workshop was to give an introductory understanding of key concepts such as topology, information (in morphogenesis), redundancy and pluripotency as a mean to undisclose performative potential through morphology, from biological and digital development to architectural design, within a general framework of an ecology of design ”ECO Form”.

The new edition of the Creative Art that started in July 2011 is already showing how the students are reaching in each new workshop better and developed results, understanding deeply how this experience is a Simulation of their future as professionals.

Even this edition is shorter than the previous (5 Intensive days) the work proceeds fast and all the groups show that they understood the logic of the Creative Art workshop, exploring processes of the Interdisciplinary practice in contemporary architectural design.

This workshop was an exploration of different ways of representing ideas through art concepts applied by an intensive search for spatial conditions in order to configure architectural spaces Aim of this workshop was to give students insights on different ways to generate and represent ideas combining exercises based on art examples and nature processes as paradigms The goal was achieved through theoretical classes , personal research and workshops .

At the end of 5 days the students presented the final work of the workshop to a jury.
