Description:

MAG LAB focuses on optimizing complex geometry with parametric design tools in conjunction with economic efficiency, structural performance, environmental impact, and programmatic progress. MAG LAB aims to create adaptable spatial organization by integrating architecture, landscape, infrastructure and urban planning, of which the formal consequences are generated through a variety of information in order to accommodate more possibilities of future.

Tabubble / MAGLAB

Posted in Design - Furniture by MAGLAB

Tabubble is one of MAGLAB researches work towards new cybernetic Biodigital design, understanding software and nature as a strategy and input material to use in our work and design.

I have designed Tabubble as a nature metaphor; Tabubble explores the conceptual idea of nature performances and Biomemetic in the urban scene.

© MAGLAB
I didn’t think in designing just table but I thought also to design a space, beautiful form and multifunction element.

© MAGLAB
This idea is then the generator for the design process.

© MAGLAB
Focusing in nature hidden structure, Biomimicry in this respect doesn’t imply coping nature’s apparent forms, but comprehending its structure and methods of production, thus the result (Tabubble) was imitating nature(Hyderbubble) in its action and structure but not in its form.

© MAGLAB
The result is an output that uses the computation process to be the means of form finding through a set of parameters inputted by our human brain through our researches on HyderBubble.

The construction of the Tabubble uses fibers with epoxies, resin products; Will allow the piece to be lightweight and structurally stable due to the ability to mold Fiber in any density.

© MAGLAB
The fiber product exploits the essentials of sustainable materials for the future with its 100% recyclable capabilities.

© MAGLAB
Tabubble is measurably flexible by these structures, flexibility and adaptation of this organic natural form generated a responsive element depending on responsive design.

So if you lay it down, put it in any direction, upside down, you could have it again in different form since it’s not symmetrical even in its opens.

© MAGLAB
Simply it becomes, table, chair, decorative element, light element, it’s a Tabubble.
