Today, they call them fractal formulas and we rediscover them in Nuala O'Donovan's ceramics.

Nuala O'Donovan is a young Irish potter who was born in Cork, Ireland.

A graduate in Three-Dimensional Design from Middlesex University in England in 1994, she was awarded a Master of arts in ceramics at Crawford College of Art and Design in 2008.

Fascinated by the shapes of flowers, trees or snow crystals, which were not considered to be reproducible with mathematical formulas until recent years, Nuala uses fractal geometries as a model for her ceramics.
